Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm

Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm has deep roots in north Wales and has invested in the region significantly in recent years.
This includes helping to develop the supply chain to build projects like Gwynt y Môr and at Clocaenog Forest, building a strong local workforce at Port of Mostyn and a hydro site in Dolgarrog.
Awel y Môr Offshore Wind Farm is set to be one of Wales’ biggest infrastructure investments this decade at more than £2bn in total, with opportunities to be created for local people in its construction, its decades-long operational phase, and its eventual decommissioning.
The Offshore Wind Industry Council estimates that the industry will need to recruit up to 90,000 more people in the UK by 2035 to meet current targets, with Awel y Môr able to play a role in ensuring north Wales continues to reap the rewards.
